Yotpo Review for Shopify Stores
Yotpo's reviews plan is free to 50 orders, then $15 a month at 51–99 orders, not the $89 its pricing card shows. The full ladder.
Best for: Stores that expect to scale and want reviews, loyalty and SMS in one place

Our rating
3.9 / 5
Weighted from five criteria published on our review methodology page, using Yotpo's own published pricing and plan limits. Last checked 2026-10-21.
- Free plan usefulness
- 4/530% weight
- The free reviews plan covers up to 50 monthly orders, which fits a small store, but Yotpo describes it as limited so feature gating applies.
- Entry price for a small seller
- 4/520% weight
- The real entry price is $15/month at 0–99 orders, inside the $10.01 to $20 band. The pricing card shows $89 instead, which is the 300–599 band, so the headline figure overstates the entry cost by six times for a small store.
- Cost predictability as you grow
- 4/520% weight
- Pricing scales with monthly order volume, but Yotpo publishes a slider that returns your price for a given order count, so it can be calculated before you buy.
- Platform fit
- 4/520% weight
- Yotpo's help centre lists Shopify, Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce (Magento), BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Volusion, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and custom integrations as supported platforms, so it is not locked to a single platform.
- Price transparency
- 3/510% weight
- The full Starter and Pro ladder is published band by band, which is more than most review apps do, but the pricing page's card shows only one figure per plan and labels it up to 500 orders, so the visible page hides the real entry price. Premium, Enterprise and Discover are quote-only.
Quick verdict
Yotpo is the strongest option here if you want reviews, loyalty and SMS from one vendor and you expect to scale. For a small store the calculus is different, but far less lopsided than the pricing card makes it look. Yotpo's free plan stops at 50 orders a month, and the step after that is $15 at 51 to 99 orders, which is exactly what Judge.me charges. At 100 to 199 orders Yotpo is $24 against Judge.me's flat $15, and the $89 figure only arrives at 300 orders. So a store doing 100 orders a month is choosing between $24 and $15, not between $89 and $15. Yotpo wins on breadth; Judge.me wins on a predictable bill.

What is Yotpo?
Yotpo is a reviews, loyalty and AI visibility platform for ecommerce brands. For a small store the reviews product is the relevant part, and it has a limited free plan covering up to 50 monthly orders. Above that, pricing is driven by monthly order volume, and the published ladder is far gentler at the bottom than the pricing page suggests: Starter is $15 a month at 0 to 99 orders, $24 at 100 to 199, $59 at 200 to 299, $89 at 300 to 599 and $129 at 600 to 999. The pricing card shows only the $89 figure and labels it up to 500 orders, so a store taking 60 orders a month will assume it costs six times what it actually does. Pro runs from $119 and Premium, Enterprise and Discover are quote-only. Yotpo also requires an ecommerce platform connection, so it is not a tool you can use standalone.
Pros and cons

- Order-volume pricing means you only pay for your current scale
Cons
- Requires an ecommerce platform, so it cannot be used standalone
- Pricing rises with order volume, so cost grows as the store succeeds
- Premium, Enterprise and Discover tiers are quote-only
- The free reviews plan is described by Yotpo as limited, so feature gating applies

- Requires an ecommerce platform connection

Pricing in detail
Yotpo prices by product and by monthly order volume, and for Reviews and UGC it publishes the whole ladder. Starter costs $15 a month at 0 to 99 orders, $24 at 100 to 199, $59 at 200 to 299, $89 at 300 to 599 and $129 at 600 to 999, after which there is no Starter tier. Pro costs $119 at 0 to 299 orders, $169 at 300 to 599, $269 at 600 to 1,999, $299 at 2,000 to 2,999, $329 at 3,000 to 3,999 and $379 at 4,000 to 5,999, then quote-only above 6,000. That ladder is the important part, because the pricing page's own card shows only $89 for Starter and calls it up to 500 orders: $89 is really the 300-to-599 band, so a 60-order store reading the card will overestimate its bill sixfold. Reviews and UGC also has a limited free plan for up to 50 monthly orders. Premium and Enterprise are quote-only. Loyalty and Referrals is a separate product with a free plan that covers up to 5,999 orders, then Pro from $199 a month. The Reviews plus Loyalty bundle starts at $199, is $368 across the 100-to-599 order range and steps up to $973 at 4,900 to 4,999 orders. Discover, the AI visibility product, is custom-priced with no order tiers at all. All figures are USD per month.
What we checked in the product
- 2026-09-28: Opened the free reviews plan's signup form directly. It asks only for name, email and password, and no payment fields are present anywhere on the form, so the free plan needs no card. One thing worth knowing: the main /pricing/ page no longer advertises a free plan in its own text, and the free plan only appears on the product-specific reviews pricing page. The signup link for it does exist and works. We did not create an account.
- 2026-10-21: Re-read the pricing page and found the plan cards had changed shape since the September check. Both the main /pricing/ page and the Reviews-specific one now show Starter at $89 and Pro at $169, each labelled up to 500 orders, and neither page shows a free plan card at all; the free plan is now described only in the pricing FAQ. Yotpo's machine-readable pricing document carries the full band-by-band ladder that the cards hide, which is where the $15 entry figure and the 0–99 order band come from. The card label 'up to 500 orders' is the 300–599 band, not a range starting at zero.

Frequently asked questions
Is Yotpo free?
There is a limited free plan for Reviews and UGC covering up to 50 monthly orders, and a separate free plan for Loyalty and Referrals.
How much does Yotpo cost?
Reviews and UGC is free up to 50 orders a month. Starter then costs $15/month at 0–99 orders, $24 at 100–199, $59 at 200–299, $89 at 300–599 and $129 at 600–999. Pro starts at $119 and reaches $379 at 4,000–5,999 orders. The pricing page shows only $89 for Starter, which is the 300–599 band, so do not read it as the entry price. Premium, Enterprise and Discover are quote-only.
Does Yotpo require Shopify?
Yotpo requires an ecommerce platform connection, but not specifically Shopify. It supports Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce and Magento.
Is Yotpo or Judge.me better for a small store?
Judge.me is usually cheaper for a small store because it charges a flat $15/month with no order-volume scaling, and its free plan has no order cap. Yotpo's free plan stops at 50 orders a month; after that its Starter tier is $15 at 51–99 orders, so the two paid plans are level at that volume, and Yotpo only pulls away at 300 orders where it reaches $89.
